Fifty percent of Niger's population is under the age of 30, so it is likely you will be working with children or youth. You may also work with those least-reached with the gospel, as well as fellow believers and MKs.
SIM Niger's vision is to make disciples where Christ is least known. We are convinced that:
• We live in a world permeated by an evil that has invaded and corrupted every aspect of life, leaving mankind separated from the Creator and trapped in sin. We are convinced that the gospel changes everything and sets us free. God has called SIM to help bring this life-changing message to Niger.
• No one should live and die without hearing the Good News. Yet more than 17 million people are living and dying without Christ in Niger.
• We believe we are called to mobilize His servants to bring the message of salvation to Niger. We are called by God from all corners of the earth to serve as a diverse ministry team.
Each ministry team within SIM Niger has its own specific strategy that fits into our overall vision. Some roles are reaching people’s physical needs in order to open a door to sharing the gospel (i.e., medical work, agricultural work); some are support roles enabling others to share the gospel (i.e., treasury, teaching at an international school), and some are more direct (i,e. working with a church planting team).

We currently have team members from USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Singapore, S. Korea, Niger, Nigeria, Kenya, Romania, France, Germany, and New Zealand.
Options vary depending on location of opportunity, but range from living with roommates in a house in the city to living in an apartment or on a compound.
Be teachable & Flexible. French language is not required but it is a huge plus. Be willing to rough it, as there will be water and power cuts, it will be hot, there may not be functional internet, etc. Be willing to be adventurous, but not foolish. Be able to take initiative and communicate your needs with the team.
