A simple conservation farming method is empowering individuals, communities, and developing nations in Africa to take hold of real change. After going through specific, hands-on courses (e.g. composting), masses of people—who are dependent on the land—learn to faithfully use what they’ve been given to make a profit and come out of poverty. They are also taught, through the life-lesson of farming, about Jesus as the One true foundation!

Mambo Receives Jesus, is Baptized

When Mambo attended his first Foundations in Farming course, he was a Muslim struggling under the weight of his sin. Upon hearing the gospel as a part of the course teaching, he responded as a man who’d finally found his Savior. Converting from his long-held Muslim beliefs, he received Jesus’ free gift of salvation, put his faith in Him, and was baptized one week later at another Foundations in Farming course being taught by a lake. Today the local church in Mozambique joins SIM workers in discipling Mambo and praying for his growing faith every day.

YOU can help teach individuals and families how to live off the land and put their trust in Jesus!

Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. —Hebrews 6:7

TODAY’S PRAYER

PERU

Missionaries in Peru have been converting their training materials into online mission courses with the goal of Latin
Americans learning about and taking up their role in the Great Commission. To date, they have eight courses with 780 students! Pray God would use these students to share the gospel and mobilize others and their churches.
