Praise for the uplifting time Sabrina had as she attended the 50th anniversary of Asian Access mission that met in Malaysia recently and participated as part of the worship team. Pray for her relationship with one Japanese friend who is studying English with her by reading Bible passages and discussing them. Pray she will come to trust Jesus as her Savior. Pray for energy for Sabrina as she studies and takes her language final at the end of her third term of classes, while hosting a vision trip for two young women. Pray also for improving health for her.
Praise for God’s amazing provision of $6000 within a week so that they can move to a new house near the Amazing Grace Center church plant on June 20 and settle a bit before leaving for home assignment in the US. Praise that this will enable to be only about ten minutes from the church plant compared to their present location in another city about an hour away. Pray as they prepare for the move while continuing with ministry responsibilities. Pray for a good response to the tracts and invitations placed in hundreds of mailboxes near the church in preparation for the evangelistic outreach to be held June 17.
Praise for the provision of a beautiful home upon the Adairs return to Japan and for positive interactions with the people in their new neighborhood. Pray that they can reconnect well with friends from their previous term and that they can form a ministry team to reach the people of East Shigoma where they are now living. Pray that many of them will turn to Christ. Pray for continued perseverance for Roberta in studying Japanese, and for a good adjustment for their children.
Praise for the inspiration the Clarks have had to strengthen and encourage Japanese pastors by holding a Refresh camp July 26-28, and for the enthusiastic response, they have gotten from the six families they have invited. Pray that thru the camp structure they can help to strengthen their marriages and parent-child relationships, and provide opportunities for mutual encouragement as the pastors talk and pray together. Pray that this will equip them for greater impact on families in their churches and communities. Pray for adequate funding so that the camp can be offered for free.
Praise that Beth’s full-time language study ended in March and she now has begun taking on ministry responsibilities while still studying Japanese. Pray for growth in fluency. Pray for the leadership team members at her church as they begin teaching about prayer ministry and its importance in fulfilling their great vision for Sendai. Pray also for the church’s need for a new meeting space. Pray for Bethany as she hopes to co-lead a weekly small group for young women. Pray for churches to see significant growth, and for Japanese who have come to Christ while living abroad to connect with a church upon return.
Pray that the Kidwells can find a good church home in Las Vegas, while they are there staying with Josh’s family. Praise that all of their launch funds have been received, and pray for provision for the 60% still needed for their monthly budget. Pray for meaningful opportunities to share their vision with individuals and churches over the next few months. They write, “We need prayer and financial supporters to stand with us as we obey the Lord’s leading in our lives.” Pray for contentment in God’s timing – while planning to leave for Japan at the end of July.

Praise for the time Garrett spent previously in Japan as a short-term missionary, and that he is now taking a vision trip there with his wife April 8-25. Pray for safety for them in travel, for spiritual protection, and for divine encounters with individuals and missionaries. Pray for wisdom as they visit various language schools, and pray that they will truly sense what direction the Lord has for them for their future. Pray also that they will make good connections and be encouraged as they attend a conference for missionaries in Indonesia following their time in Japan.
Praise that two churches are collaborating in running the next Marriage Course starting May 20. Pray for this critical time of inviting 23 couples to participate, of which 45 of the 46 individuals are non-Christians. They write, “We don’t want to simply pass them flyers, but rather take the time to talk with each about the course.” Pray that it will become the springboard into faith for many. Pray that the Clarks can find ways to connect with senior citizens in their neighborhood. Pray also that God will bless their relationships with their children’s teachers and their families, as school begins this month.
