Praise for the successful walk-a-thon held in January that raised over $55,000 toward the new building for the international study center. Pray that the additional funds needed will come in and for the transition to the new site in February. Pray for wisdom for Steve as he leads the school/staff through the budgeting process.

Praise for refreshing that came to the Hayward family through the two-week visit of David’s parents and for the step forward in local relationships that occurred as Guinean friends came to meet them. Pray for wisdom for the Haywards as they mentor the recently-arrived Finstad family. Pray also as they plan for the future growth of SIM Guinea, including the completion of Principles & Practices, a document that covers many important topics related to living safely in Guinea. Pray that this will create stability for team members and, ultimately, team growth.
Praise for the opportunity Joel had last week to speak at the annual pastors’ conference of the denomination that has grown out of SIM’s work. Pray that God will continue to use Joel’s simple messages to work deeply in the hearts of the 400 pastors who attended. Pray also for God’s provision for every need, stability in their country and the security of their mission team.

Pray that God will bring peace and clearly open the doors for the Faders to return to their previous base in South Sudan or direct them to a new location.
Praise for Laura’s greatly improved health. Praise also for God-ordained connections and a language mentor to help them begin their French and Arabic studies. Pray as Luke and Laura share at an information night at their local church, which will include others working with the unreached in remote areas of Africa. Pray that the Lord will speak through them and move people to pray for those who are yet to hear the gospel. Pray that God would also provide more families for their support team.

Pray that the entire family would come to know the love and saving power of Jesus. Pray that Dan and Joan would have wisdom, words, and love as they share Christ in their community.
Praise that the Kidwells have been given the green light to begin their visa process. Pray that it will go smoothly and in good time. Pray for them in the coming weeks as they take language acquisition classes, continue to fundraise (still need $2300 monthly) and pack up their belongings for their move to Japan, hopefully in March. They write, “We thank God that He has brought us this far. We look forward to how He will use us in Japan . . . .”
