Mission Equipping

Run Like You Want to Win...

As he writes to his disciple Timothy, the apostle Paul uses the metaphors of soldiers, Olympic runners, and farmers as examples to the Christian walk and ministry. One  common denominator with these examples is that to be successful, an investment of time and resources in preparing for the task at hand is required.  WIth this diligence, each expects to accomplish their task successfully. These same timeless examples can be applied as models to your church as it seeks to get more effectively engaged in cross-cultural international mission work. If you expect to finish the task successfully, you need to prepare as a church to achieve that success.

As ministry partners, SIM USA can help your church in the preparation process. By God's grace, we enjoy tremendous mission knowledge, cross-cultural experience, and local ministry contacts in our Fields of ministry -- all of which may help your church better engage in cross-cultural mission engagement.

Meeting Your Church's Needs

Churches come in all shapes and sizes when it comes to mission ministry -- some are already well engaged in mission but want new opportunities, others are just starting in their missional involvement, many are somehwere "in between" looking to go to the next level. Our approach is to try to meet your church where it is at today, so we might help you realize your mission vision for tomorrow. We call our equipping approach a “dynamic flexistructure”, which allows us to provide a training structure while at the same time allowing your church to receive only the equipping training where you need it.

In short, we seek to:

  • Cultivate a relationship with your church - understanding your passion, calling, and vision so we know how we can best serve you.
  • Equip your church with the training it may need for cross-cultural mission (both "home-based" and "international").
  • Mobilize our church partners into diverse short term mission opportunities to build experience, hone vision, and establish contacts.
  • Empower our church partners by establishing direct, relational connections with SIM partner churches, projects, missionaries, and people groups around the world.

When we follow this approach together in partnership, the fruit of excellence becomes measurable -- both in spiritual growth and impact in your church, as well as for those  whom you serve in the mission field.  To get more information or to speak directly with our Church Relations Team, please email us at simusa.churchpartnering@sim.org, or call us at 800-521-6449.
