As U.S. Director of SIM, I have had the privilege of
traveling to many parts of the world where SIM serves. I
have seen the effects of poverty, sickness, famine, natural
disasters, and war, and I have looked into the faces of those
who experience daily hardship and suffering.
Almost universally, people in difficult situations are looking
for two things: help and hope. That's why every one of SIM's
ministries is multifaceted with programs to meet the physical,
emotional, and spiritual needs of the people we serve.

| Camp Youth Alive has the potential to help raise up a generation of leaders in Nigeria whose eyes are fixed on God, who embrace Kingdom values, and who are capable of impacting their world for Christ. |
Project Number – 96835 |
In the last 15 years, thousands of Nigerian young people between the ages of 12 and 30 have come to Camp Youth Alive to hear Bible-based teaching, learn marketable skills, and enjoy good times of fun and fellowship with other youth.
The weeklong camps have had a tremendous impact. In addition to the many campers who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior at these camps, an overwhelming number of others receive assurance of their salvation as they hear and understand the whole truth of the gospel––some for the first time.
Even though the camp is only about 35 percent developed, it is providing an effective ministry to Nigeria's youth as well as being recognized as an excellent resource for other organizations that rent the facility–-a source of income that is moving the ministry toward becoming self-sustaining.
Please pray that God will provide the resources required for student scholarships and ongoing
operational costs as well as additional funds to purchase more land and complete development of the camp. Pray also that God will continue to use the ministry to impact the lives of Nigeria's youth.
With support from friends like you, Camp Youth Alive has the potential to help raise up a generation of leaders in Nigeria whose eyes are fixed on God, who embrace Kingdom values, and who are capable of impacting their world for Christ.
