By serving as a teacher or administrator with SIM, you reach people at an age where many of them, statistically speaking, will come to know the Lord. Some of the students at our schools come from homes where they might never otherwise hear the gospel. Others are the children of missionaries, and your support of their ministry makes it possible for them to have a long-term impact among the unreached.

SIM is committed to providing every church that we have helped to plant with access to the Bible, in its own language. Working in teams, and often in partnership with other organizations, you can help give a new church its most important tool. Literacy training goes hand in hand with translation work, enabling people to read their new Bibles.

If you are looking to get a taste of world missions, a short-term assignment may be right for you. Our staff can work with you to match your skills, experience, education, interests and timeframe with a ministry in Asia, Africa, or South America. Generally speaking, our short-term assignments last longer than two months, but less than one year. It might be that a midterm assignment (longer than one year) would be appropriate for you.
