Praise that the Gallaghers have received their Senegalese identity cards which provide legal residency documentation. Praise that Jeff and Amanda, apart from their team, were able to visit the village, which is the focus of their outreach, and were warmly welcomed by the village chief, leadership and people. Pray for the development of relationships and that the Lord will prepare the hearts of people to engage in Discipleship Bible Study groups. Pray for physical and spiritual protection in a context where the villagers combine a dominant religion with animism.
Pray for volunteers that can help Dale and Helen get their major Self Help Safe Water (SHSW) materials written, updated and online this year. Praise that a volunteer is taking time off in July from his work to lead the SHSW engineering internship program in Bolivia. Pray for safety and quick adaptation for an SIM family moving to West Africa to develop low-cost well-drilling technology and equip others to serve needy communities. Praise for improved health for Dale, but pray for complete healing.
Praise for the hospitality the Lundstedts experienced for a month as they lived with a host family. Pray for them as they adjust to a too-small apartment for five months until a SIM-owned one becomes available in the same neighborhood. Pray for patience as they wait for at least seven months to obtain proper paperwork. Pray for wisdom as they visit churches to find one to be their church home. Pray for Luke as he is oriented to his new (future) role as SIM Chile director. Pray also for health for the children dealing with the change in climate and air pollution.

Pray for guidance in decisions about the Andrews’ house and belongings, finances for relocation and a realistic timeline to handoff their ministries at the USA Headquarters.

Pray they will be faithful to listen to and share the Scriptures with family and neighbors. Praise for a large dental team from the USA that came to help over 200 people in two communities and for the dental anesthetic that they left behind—at the same time that Peru stopped the sale of it for an unknown time period! Pray that Peru would resume the sale so dentists all over the country can continue treating patients.
Praise for Dwight’s participation with the Association of Christian Theological Education in Africa as he joined a team to conduct accreditation visits to Bible colleges in Ethiopia during the month of May. Praise for the growth of the church both in Nigeria, where the Singers served, and Ethiopia. Pray that it may be strengthened through quality theological education and extended through church planting among the as yet unreached.
Praise for a successful SIM Zambia audit of the finance books, board meeting, and Spiritual Life Conference. Pray for Jeff and Rose as they continue in their roles as Acting Director, Personnel Director, Treasurer and Projects Coordinator. Pray for the final stages of election/affirmation of a new director for SIM Zambia. Pray that Jeff and Rose will have a refreshing visit to the USA this summer, see God provide for their financial support shortfall, and return to finish this elongated term well.
Pray for the Pettys as they have been counseled to return to the US this summer for medical consultations for their daughter, which will begin on June 19. Pray for God’s grace and mercy for them in this challenging time, and pray that they can return to Bolivia by the end of July. Praise that the Pettys’ vision for reaching the least reached is motivating them to move to the jungle to work with the Tacana people. Pray for joy and peace from the Lord to sustain them through all the upcoming transitions.
Praise for the first response the Sadios have had in the process of obtaining a green card for Philippe so he can travel freely between the US and Senegal. Pray that he will soon be assigned an interview appointment and that his request will be approved. Pray for wisdom for the Sadios on ways they can continue to be involved in ministry if it becomes necessary for them to extend their stay past July. Pray for two Senegalese teammates who are continuing to lead the Sports Friends Senegal ministry in their absence.
