Applying to SIM
Applying to a sending agency is not the starting point; it’s a continuation of a relationship. By the time you’re ready to apply you’ve prayed and sensed God’s leading toward serving in a cross-cultural setting. You’ve also gotten to know a particular mission agency--what they believe, some of what they do, and why they do it. You may know some of their people. You’ve read and agree with their statement of faith, understand their purpose and resonate with their core values.
At SIM USA we value the people God brings to us. We want to know you; we want to hear your story. Our process is designed to provide multiple opportunities for us to get to know each other well and to see how well we fit together. It’s not quick-and-easy, but the checks and balances ensure that by the time you’re ready to go we’ll all be confident in the Lord’s leading!
